ANDREWS – West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude continued to climb over the week, reaching trading prices it hasn’t experienced since before the virus pandemic began last year.
At this point, it appears $60 oil could be within reach.
While WTI prices steadily climb, the county is awaiting the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) annual oil figure that determines mineral value for taxing.
Andrews County Appraisal District Chief Appraiser Susan Brewer said recently that figure should be announced any time now.
