Dawson County’s year long run of seeing increases in its monthly sales tax rebates has come to a halt but the City of Lamesa’s upward swing remains on track.The county’s monthly rebate, released from the State Comptroller’s Office in Austin Friday, totals $146,731, reflecting a 5.78 percent decrease when compared to the $155,741 collected in May 2022.Rebates to the county so far this year are up 47.43 percent increase from the previous year.
