It’s another big pay day for Dawson County when it received increases in both its monthly and year-to-date sales tax rebates from the state’s comptroller’s office for August.The City of Lamesa wasn’t as fortunate. The city experienced another consecutive month of decreases in both its monthly and total rebates.The county’s rebate for this month amounted to$158,306, a 22.70-percent increase when compared to the $129,014 it collected in August 2023.So far this year, the county reaped in a total of $1,450,196 in sales tax rebates.
