Dawson County recently has been averaging almost 11 new COVID-19 cases per day, according to the latest information available from the South Plains Public Health District (SPPHD).
The district’s website on Wednesday was showing that a total of 1,661 Dawson County residents have been confirmed with the virus as of this past Monday.
That number is up by 65 from a total of 1,596 cases six days earlier, on Jan. 19.
The good news is that the number of active cases here has dropped from 73 on Jan. 19 to 46 on Jan. 25.
