With both entities now preparing new budgets for the next fiscal year, members of the Dawson County Commissioners Court are seeking a joint meeting with the Lamesa City Council.Dawson County Judge Foy O’Brien on Tuesday received the go-ahead from commissioners to seek such a meeting in order to discuss existing contracts between the two entities for various services.Those contracts currently cover such things as emergency dispatch services, housing of prisoners, use of the city landfill, and firefi ghting services.O’Brien told the commissioners court during their regular meeting Tuesday that most of the contracts expire at the end of September.City officials ...
