A quorum of the Dawson County Commissioners Court took less than two minutes to handle a single item of business during a special called meeting Thursday morning.
The three members present voted unanimously to advertise for bids on the purchase of a new vehicle for the Dawson County Community Supervision and Corrections Department.
County Auditor Rhonda Martin said the department is currently lacking one vehicle.
According to a “Notice for bid” placed in today’s edition of the Press-Reporter, the county is seeking bids on a 2019 Nissan four-door, four-wheel-drive pickup.
Those bids will be opened during the Commissioners Court meeting on Aug. 20.
