County offices here should soon be seeing a big improvement in internet service at a lower cost than the county currently is paying, according to a proposal approved Tuesday by the Dawson County Commissioners Court. Thomas Baker with Stratus, part of Global Data, said a new fiber system will provide internet service at 1,000 megabytes per second at a cost to the county of $7,200.
