Lamesa Mayor Josh Stevens is cautiously hopeful that having only one new case of COVID-19 in a week means Dawson County may be turning a corner in the battle. The latest case, involving a female in her 50s, was confirmed this past Saturday, according to information on the South Plains Public Health District’s website.
