Proposals for providing financial auditing services for the county were opened by members of the Dawson County Commissioners Court during their regular meeting Tuesday afternoon. Five accounting firms responded to the county’s request for proposals, according to County Auditor Rhonda Martin. A five-member committee of county officials is scheduled to meet next week to review and rate those proposals. That panel will include Martin and one of her assistants, County Judge Foy O’Brien, County Treasurer Terri Stahl, and a member of the commissioners court.
