Proposals are now being sought for updating the security system at the Dawson County courthouse. Members of the commissioners court on Tuesday agreed to a request by County Judge Foy O’Brien to seek requests for proposals from security firms. “What we have has served us well but it’s outdated,” O’Brien said of the current system which was installed in 2012. “Technology has changed a lot in the last seven years.” O’Brien said some of the cameras in the current system are no longer working and other issues have come up as well.
