Dawson County commissioners gave County Treasurer Terri Stahl the green light Tuesday to look into the possibility of another funding source.Stahl presented commissioners with an avenue of additional revenue through the creation of a county assistance district.“We’re not looking for any action today,” said County Judge Foy O’Brien. “We’re just looking into it.”Commissioners could meet with Russell Gallahan with the State Comptroller’s Office in the future to get more information about the district.The district’s creation would have to go before voters by November for their approval.
