Both Dawson County and the City of Lamesa saw decreases in their monthly sales tax rebates issued by the state comptrollers office in Austin, but increases in their year-to-date allocations.It was the same story last month when the county and city collected fewer monthly rebates, but higher year-to-date allocations.The county’s recent rebate of $115,669 is a 10.82-percent drop from the $129,707 rebate it earned in October 2022.Its total rebates for the year saw a 20.72-percent increase.
