Last year, Dawson County officials purchased a building once used by United Methodist Church members for their activities focused on the town’s youth.County commissioners agreed in a Friday morning special meeting to begin renovating the building, called the “Reality Building” at 413 S 1st Street, as the future location of the adult and juvenile probation offices.They agreed to hire Chapman Harvey Architects, Inc. of Lubbock at a cost of $57,600 to come up with the engineering and renovation plans.The facility will replace the probation departments’ current site that has been plagued with flooding problems for years.
