SNYDER – Scurry County commissioners on Tuesday agreed to spend the first portion of its American Rescue Plan allocation, committing $23,000 to a broadband fiber inventory that will be completed in conjunction with the city’s inventory on Dec. 16.The county’s investment in broadband fiber expansion could reach $25,000, but additional expenses beyond the initial $23,000 will be approved by the court.Several commissioners expressed concerns about allocating the money to the survey due to potential vaccine mandates being attached to the money’s use.
