The Dawson County Public Library is now owned by Dawson County.
Members of the county commissioners court on Tuesday accepted the deed to the property as a gift from the City of Lamesa.
Although it was long thought by many that the county owned the library building and property, a question of ownership arose a few years ago after the roof of the building was damaged in a hailstorm and funds were sought for repairs.
