It was another split vote as members of the Lamesa City Council gave final approval to the city’s 2019-2020 property tax rate Tuesday evening. The action came five weeks after the council formally began the process by proposing a tax rate of 83.4607 cents per $100 worth of property. That is the rate which was adopted by the council on a 6-1 vote Tuesday evening. The council had approved the rate by a 5-2 vote on first reading last week.
