It could be another couple of weeks before a new city manager is named for Lamesa. The Lamesa city council adjourned a special called meeting Tuesday evening without taking any action on the only action item on the agenda: appointment of a city manager. Lasting right at an hour, the meeting was adjourned soon after council members spent about 50 minutes in a closed executive session. That closed session was listed on the agenda as being for discussion of personnel matters.
