Although it will not fully fund the city’s budget as currently proposed, the City of Lamesa’s property tax for the coming year will not exceed the effective tax rate. That is a result of city council members voting 4-0 to propose a tax rate of 83.4607 cents per $100 property value for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
