After a lengthy discussion, members of the Lamesa City Council voted 5-1 on Tuesday evening to allow a mobile home to be placed in a residential neighborhood near the southern edge of Lamesa.
The vote provides a specific use permit allowing Marco Antonio Rodriquez to place a 16-by-72-foot 1998 Oakwood manufactured home on property he now owns at 1208 South 14th St.
Rodriquez said he wants to move to Lamesa from Patricia and has been working to remodel the mobile home and to clean up the lot he purchased.
