ANDREWS – The city council on Thursday awarded the first of three bids involved with a more than $9 million project to update and improve water transmission from the city’s Florey wellfield. The project is part of the city’s 10-year Capital Plan that includes various water-related efforts. City officials said the initial bid - for the purchase of 52,300 linear feet of larger pipe and necessary materials related to the transmission line project - went to BenMark Supply Company at a cost of approximately $5.09 million.
