Like they did in a similar vote earlier this month, Lamesa City Council members split 5-2 when voting Tuesday on the city’s proposed new tax rate. The council voted to propose a new tax rate of 82.3236 cents per $100 valuation for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. That figure is slightly lower than the city’s current 0.834607 per $100 valuation tax rate.
