The culmination of years of work and strategy to develop and pass a new policy package for agriculture came on Tuesday and Wednesday as Congress acted swiftly to approve H.R. 2, the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018, following Monday’s release of the final Farm Bill Conference Report.
The bill easily cleared the Senate on Tuesday by a vote of 87-13. On Wednesday, the bill passed in the House of Representatives by a vote of 369-47, the largest margin of victory on record.
