With churches looking to develop or improve security programs in the wake of the recent shooting at a church near Fort Worth, Howard College is seeking to meet that need.
Lamesa will be the first location for the college to offer a series of programs to help churches and entire communities be prepared both in advance and after a shooting incident.
The program was outlined during a hastily-called meeting with several Lamesa church leaders Wednesday morning.
