Now that Thanksgiving is past, it’s time to start planning for Christmas.Members of the Nuestro Car Club are hosting their eighth annual Toy and Coat Drive from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., Dec. 10 in the NAPA parking lot at 310 N. 4th Street.Donations of news clothing and toys benefit the Lamesa Lights of Love campaign and the Dawson County Rainbow Room.The club’s event last year collected a dozen new bikes, 115 coats and jackets, 500 unwrapped toys; and 20 sets of sweaters and gloves.“We expect over 1,000 donations,” said Club member Jamie Galindo. “Santa Claus will be there.
