Students in the Lamesa school system will be heading back to the classrooms on Wednesday morning to begin the 2019-2020 school year. The neighboring Klondike and Sands school districts will start classes the following day. O’Donnell ISD is scheduled to start the new year on Monday, Aug. 19. The Dawson ISD at Welch will start classes two days later. Classes in the Borden County school system will resume Aug. 26.
