SEMINOLE – With collections more than doubled from last year, Seminole local-option sales tax revenues blew past the $3 million mark to finish 2019 at a record $3.567 million. The total was reached with a $321,424.53 disbursement last week from Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar. The previous high for city collections – 2018’s $2.552 million – was actually topped in October in the midst of what is now a seven-month run of $300,000-plus monthly disbursements.
