An application for a $400,000 grant for water line improvements and quick valves for city water lines was approved by the Lamesa City Council during a special called meeting this past Tuesday evening. City Manager Shawna D. Burkhart said that application will be submitted for the Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) program with the Texas Department of Agriculture for fiscal year 2019-2020.
