City council members agreed Tuesday in passing a resolution suspending the Dec. 21 effective date of Atmos Energy, Corp., West Texas Division’s requested utility rate change.They made the decision to give city officials more time to study the request and establish reasonable rates.The gas provider filed an application with the Railroad Commission for the change that would increase rates system-wide by $66.1 million.
