Both the City of Lamesa and Dawson County have begun the new year with sizeable increases in their local sales tax revenue.Dawson County’s January sales tax rebate of $105,841 from the state comptroller’s office represents a whopping 62.4-percent increase when compared to the $65,175 rebate the county received in January of last year.The City of Lamesa received $179,805 in sales taxes this month.
