A hectic series of meetings and work sessions during the past few weeks by the Lamesa city council is about to reach a conclusion.
After finalizing the budget on second reading this past week, the council will now be turning its attention to the city’s property tax rate.
Council members will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall to consider, on first reading, adopting a tax rate of 83.4607 cents per $100 worth of property value.
