A proposed tax rate for the 2019-2020 fiscal year is expected to be established by the Lamesa City Council during their regular meeting Tuesday evening. That meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. Having held a pair of budget work sessions on consecutive evenings last month, the council is expected to propose a new tax rate at or above the city’s effective tax rate.
