BROWNFIELD – The Brownfield City Council met on Thursday morning.
“What we’re doing today is we wanted to come to the council and visit with you for a request to purchase water for the City of Ropesville,” said Jacob and Martin engineer Allen Phillips. “The City of Ropesville is currently a clean water only system. Like many communities in the area, they struggle with water quality, primarily fluoride levels. They have been out of compliance since the mid-2000s, they are under an enforcement order with TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) to resolve the issue.”
