Plans to implement a Young Professionals of America group here and create a new Leadership Lamesa program are continuing to be put together by the Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce. That effort was part of the discussion during Monday’s regular monthly meeting of the Chamber’s board of directors. The goal, according to Chamber board member Josh Freitag, is to help get individuals ages 20-40 involved in community activities and train them to become future community leaders. “There are a lot of us here but its just a matter of getting involved,” Freitag said.
