BROWNFIELD - The Texas Department of State Health Services and South Plains Public Health District sent out a notification to the Terry County judge, Brownfield mayor, City of Wellman and the City of Meadow that they fall under Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s GA-32 order as of Feb 3. Terry County restaurants, retail stores, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, gyms, exercise facilities and classes, museums and libraries can operate at 75 percent of maximum occupancy levels. Abbott’s order states that areas with high hospitalizations, where the number of COVID-19 hospitalized patients exceed 15 percent of total hospital capacity, are considered trauma service areas.
