Bone-chilling temperatures have made this past week one that local residents will long remember.
Sub-zero temperatures were made worse by lengthy power outages across much of the county.
And it is not over yet!
As of Wednesday morning forecasts were projecting the temperature will remain well below the freezing mark until sometime Friday.
That would mean more than nine straight days without Lamesa seeing temperatures ever climb above freezing.
The weather has shut down schools and offices, impacted businesses, frozen water pipes, and made traveling hazardous at times.
Almost everything outside has been coated with a combination of ice and snow since Thursday of last week.
