An afternoon recalling the big 1976 bicentennial celebration in Gail will be hosted by the Borden County Historical Committee on June 22, according to committee Chair Lisa Dennis Mahler. The event is planned for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Borden County Event Center. Guest speakers will be Ralph Miller and Rich Anderson. “It has been 43 years since that weekend and it is time to get stories told and history recorded,” Mahler said.
