Beehive Homes of Lamesa staff members are bringing Independence Day celebrations straight to their residents.It’s not uncommon for the homes’ 16 elderly residents to miss out on the community- wide festivities, because many are unable to travel or leave the facility.They may be absent from the Independence Day events in Forrest Park next week, but they’ll have their own private party closer to home that afternoon.Staff members and volunteers are planning to host a Fourth of July Parade just for Beehive Home residents beginning at 2 p.m. that day.“So far we have seven participating.
