After about nine hours of preparing and cooking, 20 teams from 10 different high schools competed Saturday to see which could make the best barbecue ribs, brisket and chicken all cooked on wood burning grills with beans and desserts prepared in pots and toaster ovens.Hosted by Lamesa High School (LHS), out-of-town teams came from O’Donnell, Lancaster, Midland, Frenship, Big Lake, Big Spring and Amarillo to compete on the regional level.
