A 19-year-old Lamesa man has been arrested and charged in connection with motor vehicle burglaries that occurred along Highland Drive in December. Isaiah Cervantes Oballe was arrested at 6 p.m. Wednesday by officers with the Lamesa Police Department for the alleged offenses, Chief Dale E. Alwan Sr. said on Friday. Oballe was booked into Dawson County Jail for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle including the theft of a firearm, Chief Alwan said, as well as for four municipal warrants for traffic offenses.
