School administrators in five area school districts reported the first few days of the new school year have gone off without a hitch.
Dawson, O’Donnell and Borden County schools began classes Wednesday. Students enrolled in Klondike and the Sands school district in Ackerly returned to classes two days earlier.
Dawson Superintendent Gary Jones said 160 students reported for classes at Welch.
“It’s been a good week. We’ve had a good start,” Jones said. “It’s been a good three days.”
Klondike also experienced a great week.
