County continues burn ban SNYDER – Scurry County commissioners extended the county’s burn ban for another 90 days at a special meeting Tuesday morning. Snyder Fire Department personnel did not attend the meeting due to scheduled training. Scurry County Judge Dan Hicks presented the commissioners with two maps of Scurry County provided by the Texas A&M Fire Service, one showing the county’s wildfire threat ranging between “very high” and “moderate,” with most of the county in the “high” range.
