Commissioners Court okays tax abatement BROWNFIELD – The Terry County Commissioners listened once again to an abatement proposal by the Invenergy Company. The company is in the processing of securing the backing necessary for the building of a solar farm in the Wellman area. The Commissioners had previously reworked their tax abatement rules and guidelines after an initial presentation by Julia Kimmerly of Invenergy. The Court did agree to a 10 year tax abatement plan at a rate of $1750 per megawatt.
