ANDREWS- Commissioners court made its decision with an interim county judge appointment following an executive session meeting Friday morning that involved interviews with a narrowed applicant list.Following the closed door session, commissioners unanimously approved appointing former Andrews County Sheriff Sam Jones as interim county judge.The county judge seat became vacant with the death of former Andrews County Judge Charlie Falcon late last month from health complications related to a heart attack.Jones will be sworn into office Wednesday and will serve in the county judge role until voters elect a county judge in November.
