United Way nearing halfway mark in funding campaign SNYDER – With only a little over a month left in its yearly campaign, Scurry County United Way has raised $62,698 of this year’s $130,000 Moving Forward United Way campaign goal, up $5,000 since the dessert auction fundraiser held Nov. 23. “It’s lower than we would like, but with the current state of our community, we are thankful for every dollar we receive in support,” Executive Director Sheila Hale said.
