After serving as Lamesa’s police chief for the past six and a half years, Dale A. Alwan Sr. apparently is no longer with the City of Lamesa. “He has separated from the city,” Lamesa City Manger Sean Overeynder said Friday in response to a question from the Press-Reporter about Alwan’s status. Alwan had served as Lamesa police chief since November of 2013, coming here after a tenure of almost 17 years as chief of the Dumas Police Department.
