It is four months before graduation, but over 90 members of the Lamesa High School Class of 2021 already know where they’ be heading in the weeks or months after getting their diplomas.
About 86 percent of the soon-to-be graduates announced their intentions Wednesday morning to pursue college or enlist in the military.
A large crowd of parents, underclassmen and school staff attended the annual College Signing Day ceremony in the school gym. Representatives from a dozen Texas colleges and universities also were on hand.
Most of the 120 members of this year’s graduating class are headed to colleges and universities in Texas.
