A 38-year-old Lamesa man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after reportedly causing damage to several parked cars and a utility pole just before 10 p.m. Monday. Since the man only is facing a misdemeanor charge, according to information from the Lamesa Police Department, his name will not be published. Lamesa Police Lieutenant Tommy Arguijo said the vehicle the man was driving allegedly struck a parked vehicle at North 16th Street and Main Avenue.
