4th of July vendors see a hot, good day

Depending upon what was selling and when, vendors showcasing their wares during the Fourth of July celebrations at Forrest Park either had a good day or a good experience.Many reported heavy sales right after the Independence Day parade through downtown ended by mid-morning.The sales tapered down a bit, along with the customers, as temperatures reached into the triple digits by mid-afternoon.“Vendor wise, it is probably double than last year,” said Jaime Galindo, an economic development board member, around midafternoon Thursday. “It’s hot and people are awesome for sticking to it.
