Directors of the Mesa Underground Water Conservation District are expected to decide next month on a property tax abatement request for a proposed solar energy facility in the northeastern corner of Dawson County.
In lieu of taxes, GreenGo Energy US is asking to pay the district about $6,000 to $6,500 per year based on a rate of $10 per megawatt of installed energy generation capacity.
The request was presented to the Mesa UWCD board during its regular meeting this past Wednesday by David Veach, senior director of development for GreenGo Energy US.
