The financial picture for the Dawson County Hospital District continues to improve, according to Chief Executive Officer Letha Stokes.
Presenting a financial report to the district’s board of directors during their regular monthly meeting last week, Stokes said the district had a net financial gain of about $97,400 during January.
After five straight months of net gains, the district currently has a year-to-date loss of $158,576 through the first 10 months of the district’s current fiscal year, according to the financial reports.
For the same 10-month period last year, Stokes noted, the district was showing a loss of more than $1.85 million.
